Tommy Ashby – Artist Spotlight

About the Artist

Tommy Ashby is a Scottish singer-songwriter and guitarist known for his emotive vocals, poetic lyrics, and unique guitar style. Born and raised in the small town of Rotterdam in The Netherlands, but was raised in Scotland.  Ashby began playing guitar at a young age and was soon writing and performing his own songs.

Ashby moved to London to pursue a career in music. He quickly gained a following with his intimate live performances and powerful vocals, and his music was soon picked up by BBC Introducing Radio 1.

In 2017, Ashby released his debut EP “Golden Arrow,” which was met with critical acclaim and helped establish him as a rising star in the UK indie-folk scene. He followed up with the release of his second EP, “Restless Love,” in 2019.

Throughout his career, Ashby has collaborated with a number of well-known musicians, including Ed Harcourt, Newton Faulkner, and Jack Savoretti. His music has been featured on a number of popular television shows, including “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Nashville,” and “Love Island.”

With his powerful voice, unique guitar style, and deeply personal songwriting, Tommy Ashby has established himself as one of the most exciting young artists in the UK music scene today.
